Four Heritage Malta Museums open for free on the 13th of December

Heritage Malta will be opening four of its museums for free on Republic Day. These museums are the Inquisitor's Palace, Ġgantija Temples, Ta' Kola Windmill, and St Paul's Catacombs. Several events and exhibitions will be organised for visitors throughout the day.

Open Day at Hagar Qim and Mnajdra

Heritage Malta, in conjunction with the 9th European Week of Region and Cities co-organised in Brussels by the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions, will this Saturday be opening Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Temples free of charge to all visitors. The temples of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra, both holders of World Heritage Site status, benefited from an ERDF project within the 2004-06 Structural Funds Programme.

Heritage Malta will this weekend be offering to the public taking part in Birgufest an opportunity to visit the Inquisitor’s Palace and the Malta Maritime Museum at a reduced price of €2, both museums included.

Free Entrance to five of Heritage Malta's museums

Five of Heritage Malta’s museums will be open for free to the general public on Monday 15th August, a public holiday. The museums and sites included in this open day are the National War Museum in Valletta and the four Citadella Museum in Gozo; Folklore Museums, Museum of Archaeology, Museum of Natural Science and The Old Prison.

New Bronze Age Hall at the National Museum of Archaeology

Heritage Malta’s renovation of the Bronze Age Hall at the National Museum of Archaeology is the latest display project undertaken.
