Unique concert of Mozart’s Sacred Music

As part of this season’s Teatru Manoel BOV Opera Week, Teatru Manoel presents a concert by Maltese soprano Miriam Gauci with the Goldberg Ensemble conducted by Michael Laus on 10th March at 7.30pm at St. Augustine’s Church, Valletta.  

 

The programme includes Church Sonatas K67, K328, K336, Quere superna K143, Tantum ergo K142, Agnus Dei from Coronation Mass K317, Offertorium pro festo Stii Ioanni Baptistae, K72, Te Deum K141, Miserere K85 and Ave verum corpus K618.

Beethoven and Brahms to open Teatru Manoel and MPO’s season

The 2016-2017 season at Teatru Manoel and for the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will be officially launched with a concert of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 and Brahms’ Symphony No.3 on Friday 30th September 2016. The concert, a joint production between the two entities, will be conducted by Brian Schembri and will feature the Maltese pianist Charlene Farrugia.

Maltese Artistic Director to adjudicate at the Ambronay Festival

Kenneth Zammit Tabona, Artistic Director of Teatru Manoel and the Valletta International Baroque Festival has been invited by the Ambronay Festival to adjudicate, together with other Artistic Directors from around Europe,  the E-emerging Ensembles at the 37the edition of the festival next October.

A Fantastic Evening of Jazz with Sandro Zerafa

On Wednesday 3rd February 2016 at 8pm at Teatru Manoel Sandro Zerafa teams up with some of the most important musicians in the European jazz scene for this unique concert.
